“Mean Girls” is a signature movie known by almost every nineties and early two-thousand generations.

Comedian Daniel Franzese, is best known for his role as Damien or the actor that says, “She doesn’t even go here” in Mean Girls.

Although Franzese is a comedian, he does not mind being recognized for his role on Mean Girls. He instead embarrasses it and even likes to wear pink on occasion.

Franzese made an appearance on Missouri Western’s campus to host as part of his comedy show, The Yass! You’re Amazing Tour. On Thursday, March 28 at 7 p.m. in Spratt 101.

Students at Missouri Western enjoyed having this comedian on campus.

Missouri Western freshman Amiyah Lynn-Zalzala attended the comedy show on Thursday and is a big fan of the movie “Mean Girls.”

“It’s my first comedy show. So I’m actually really excited especially since it’s somebody from like one of my favorite movies, and he was one of my favorite characters,” Lynn-Zalzala said.

Having comedians on campus gives students relief from the hard work they do throughout the week. WAC is able to book these comedians for student enjoyment and students hope they are able to continue.

Erica Gahm, a freshman on the Missouri Western campus, attended the comedy show because it was free to students on campus and gives students a chance to get out of their dorm rooms.

“It’s a good stress reliever, but it’s also just like another element of like campus activities getting involved,” Gahm said. “Especially towards the end of the week.”

Having comedy shows on campus brings more than just college students to campus.

High school senior, Grace Brewer, attended the comedy show with her mom and had never been to a comedy show on campus before.

“I think it’s going to be a good experience. I’ve never been to one before,” Brewer said.

The next WAC comedian to host at Missouri Western is Deray Davis with opening act Ronnie Jordan on April 17 in The Looney Arena.
