Ideal Valentine’s Dates
It’s that time of year again! This ‘beloved’ holiday celebrates the love we have for one another, whether it be with chocolates, flowers or a perfectly planned night out. When asked, a handful Missouri Western students let me in on what their “ideal Valentine’s date” would consist of.
“I think my ideal date would have to be going out with my boyfriend. Not anywhere in particular, but to a place where we are both comfortable. A place where we can be ourselves and just enjoy each other’s company.”

“My ideal Valentine’s date is something that is very sentimental because they remind you of everything that you’ve been through with that person. I would want to go on a really fancy date. A date where my boyfriend and I get really dressed up and go to a very fancy restaurant. We would also have to include dessert in there somewhere because dessert is the best!”
“My ideal date would be getting some flowers, then going to her house and watching a hood movie, and going to a really cheap place to eat like McDonald’s. Dollar menu probably. Maybe two McChickens? And at the end we could share an ice cream cone. Then we would go back to her house and watch another hood move like Snow On The Bluff.

“My ideal date would have to be going to the mall and just spending money on each other. We could maybe make a list of our favorite stores, and then trade and go buy things from those stores. Then afterwards we could meet up and surprise one another.”

“My ideal Valentine’s date would be pretty typical. I would probably take my date to dinner and a movie. Afterwards we would head back to their house, Netflix and chill, something like that.”
“I think my ideal date would have to have taking my significant other out to dinner and maybe a move, then just hanging and eating candy. We would have to have good flowing conversation because I am a pretty talkative person and I wouldn’t want things to become awkward. Just lots of good flowing vibes.”
