Early season top-ten finishes

Women’s golf is off to a quality start in their fall season with two consecutive top-ten finishes.

In the opening match at the Central Region Fall Preview, the Griffons finished in sixth place out of 19 teams with an overall score of 638. Freshman Shi Quing Ong lead Western with a total score of 154 and individually tied for 13th.

For the second match of the season the Griffons traveled to the Northeastern State Golf Classic and once again finished in the top-ten, at 8th, with an overall score of 647. Ong lead Western with a score of 156 and 13th place finish. Right behind Ong was sophomore Celine Lim who shot a 157 and finished 14th.
