Intensity rises in the NBA Playoffs

With lower ranked teams defeating the higher ranked teams, the NBA playoffs are becoming intense. The Atlanta Hawks, for instance, are giving the Indiana Pacers a hard time. The Pacers were ranked number one in the Eastern Conference before playoffs. In the last game they played, the Pacers came out with a 91-88 win. The series is tied 2-2, but I feel the Pacers will get the series win. The Portland Trailblazers are another team that is beating one of my NBA finals picks. There is no doubt that the Houston Rockets are playing well this year, but the Trailblazers are running a fast pace offense that the Rockets can’t stop. The Trailblazers are leading the series 3-1, which is bad for the Rockets, because only eight teams in the history of the NBA have come back to win a playoff series after being down by three games. The Memphis Grizzlies are also putting up a fight, despite the Oklahoma Thunder power team. In the last game, the Thunder won in overtime 92-89, and the series is now tied 2-2. Everyone knew when Derrick Rose was injured again that the Chicago Bulls would have a difficult season. But one man does not make a team. The Washington Wizards are putting up a fight and proving they belong, leading the series three games to one. In the last game they played, the Wizards went on a scoring run that the Bulls couldn’t stop and won 98-89 The Los Angeles Clippers are tied in their series 2-2 against the Golden State Warriors. While the first game was sloppy, the Clippers are proving that they are a playoff team. But the Warriors are not giving up, as they won their last game against the Clippers 118-97. Toronto is,surprisingly, keeping up with the Brooklyn Nets, as the series is tied 2-2. In the last game, Brooklyn wasn’t playing their best. The Raptors took advantage of this, winning 87-79. I think Brooklyn is going to pull out of this one, just because they have a mix of young talent and experience. In another upset series, the Dallas Mavericks pulled another win against the number-one ranked  San Antonio Spurs. The Mavericks are leading the series 2-1. In the last game, the Mavericks won in a very close game 109-108. All season, the Spurs have been a dominating team, with an impressive season record of 61-19. Although they lost in the last game, the Spurs are going to pull out of the series because of their offensive rhythm. Not to mention the Spurs want payback from last season against the Miami Heat. Speaking of the Heat, can somebody say Heat-Three-Peat? The Miami Heat are proving why they are the champions. They are leading their series against the Charlotte Bobcats 3-0. In the last game they played, the Heat won 98-85. LeBron James also stared down the Bobcats owner, Michael Jordan, while dunking on a fast-break. I think it’s obvious that the Heat will pull through this series, and I predict them going to the finals. No team in the East is as good as the reigning champions. They’re going to have a difficult time with whoever pulls out in the West.
