Outfielders David Chew and Trevor LaHonta are two of the Griffon’s three leaders in batting average. Chew and LaHonta are doing big things this season for Western baseball, combining for 75 of the team’s 267 hits. As a transfer from the West Coast and a local veteran, the power hitters are not just all baseball. LaHonta is an avid skier, and hopes to one day go pro. Chew loves to hunt in his spare time. The two have become a big part of the Griffons success this season. While these boys mean business at bat, they’re well-rounded both on and off the field.
