Men’s basketball can go far

Men's Basketball Sports

When I think of our basketball team, words like skill, strength, humble and commitment.

These words if you ask me make up our Griffons basketball team.

Skill because they were chosen out of many other students to be a part of the college team and they all made it.

Strength because these young man that also go to school and play on their college basketball team. That takes a lot out of a young person, and for them to go out every day and give it a 100 percent in the classroom as well as the court says to me, that they are trying and I stand behind them.

Humble and commitment is the two words that describe the men’s basketball team the most. Going to another school and coming back home after a very bad lost could make or break a team. For this group of men, it has made them into better basketball players because they are committed. Also, going out and beating a team by 30 point and not letting it get them off track, shows that these young men are very humble in what they do.

It helps that’s Ryan Devers is leading 11 out of 22 Category. Devers is a stat racking machine that

cares a lot about his team and how far they make it.

Adarius Fulton , in my opinion is a good all around player. I believe he can help take the team to the NCAA tournament with help from his teammates of course. Fulton is leading in 3-point attempts, 3- points made and in steals. Not to mention Fulton is a great defensive player and cares about winning.

Like any other college basketball team, we can use some work on a few things.

I don’t think there is any other team in the NCAA Division 2 that can beat the Missouri Western Griffons when they play with a winning mindset.

I know playing on any team can be hard when there’s people on the team that care only about themselves and I can honestly say when I interview these man the only thing on their minds are their teammates and winning.

Missouri Western is full of people that believe in their men’s basketball team. We hope that they believe in themselves. We know they can make it, and win the tournament. I hope they know they can as well.
